Oral Health Caucus

In 2002, the Friends of the NIDCR worked closely in conjunction with Reps. Mike Simpson, DDS; John Linder, DDS; and the late Charles Norwood, DDS; to form the Congressional Oral Health Caucus.  The Caucus is dedicated to providing a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas on oral health care and research.  The Caucus sponsors briefings, legislative seminars, and similar educational programs.

The Congressional Oral Health Caucus is a bipartisan body of legislators committed to supporting crucial federal dental and oral health research initiatives and providing vital dental health services to our nation.

Below is a list of the members of the Congressional Oral Health Caucus.

  • Rep. Mike Simpson (R-ID), Co-Chair
  • Rep. John Linder (R-GA), Co-Chair
  • Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR)
  • Del. Donna M. Christensen (D-Virgin Islands)
  • Rep. Dave Loebsack (D-IA)
  • Rep. James P. McGovern (D-MA)
  • Rep. Bill Young (R-FL)

One of our goals is to increase membership of the Caucus.  Encourage your member of Congress to join the Caucus.  If you would like to find out how you can help, please contact Executive Director Peter Anas at 202-223-0667.
